From unrolling and buffering to rolling up and packaging after the backcoating process
At the entrance of the backcoating line, the carpet is prepared for the finishing process (e.g. coating, hot melt, extrusion, thermal bonding, lamination, etc.). The carpet roll is first unwound and, if necessary, lapped. The carpet then runs through a buffer (J-box or accumulator) with edge-control and with the correct fabric tension to the coating section or oven.
The line outfeed allows for inspecting and cutting the carpet to the correct width and length. The high-end winding and packaging section is responsible for fully automatic winding, packaging and even labelling of the tightly wound rolls.
We design the configuration of the backing line based on your requirements, depending on fabric types and space available. Here, based on our joint experience, we search together for the best solution, from simple to extended lines. We can also easily integrate third-party machines. If required, it is also possible to provide a conveyor system for rolls after packaging.
Advantages
- Highly automated:
- Tubes can be automatically removed from the unroll cradle (ergonomic)
- Automatic web centre control easily allows frequent variations in fabric width (no manual intervention required when changing fabric width)
- Perfect and parameterizable fabric tension in the different parts of the line
- Winding unit with fully automatic roll change
- For artificial grass, the edge of the carpet can be automatically attached to the tube by stapling it at the outer edge (minimal carpet loss)
- Quality changes can be easily implemented using different recipes
- Flexible configuration and implantation according to customer capabilities and requirements
- From simple to fully automatic systems
- Good control of winding tension
- Minimal film consumption with packaging
- Low energy consumption thanks to energy recovery, among other things
- Robustly built for a long service life
- Safe
Specifications
- Scope: tufted carpet, artificial grass, nonwoven (needle felt). Different types of fabrics can be processed on 1 line.
- Fabric width: up to 5.1 m
- Infeed roll weight: up to 1500 kg
- Outfeed roll weight: up to 1200 kg
- Roll diameter: up to 1200 mm for the fully automatic winding unit
